International Cuisine Cup

Promote the profession of chef and to support the techniques that part of the heritage of french cuisine

The first edition of the INTERNATIONAL CUISINE CUP organised by the Mutuelles des Cuisiners de France will take place on 9 an 10 March 2010 at EUROPAIN & INTERSUC.

This competition are looking for a talented individual who can represent the best of French cuisine through their working methods, choice of flavours, combinations of ingredients and presentation of their dishes

Entrants must produce two recipe. The meat dish must consist of a stuffed saddle of lamb and the dessert, which should include citrus fruit, should be a new recipe devised by the chef.

Entries can be submitted between 7 October 2009 and 22 January 2010

Open to all chefs, whatever their current job, who can show proof of at least five years’ professional experience, who currently reside in the European Union and have done so during their employment as a chef.

The finalist taking first place will be honoured with the title of winner of the International Cuisine Cup. They will receive a Sèvres porcelain vase from the French President and a cash prize of €10,000. Taking second place will be the winner of the Cuisiniers de France Trophy, who will receive a prize of a weekend at a Relais et Châteaux hotel. In third place will be the winner of the Espoirs des Cuisiniers Trophy who will receive a professional mini food processor.
